Kampala, Uganda | July 2–13, 2026
ImPAct- EmpoweHER- Teens, Mothers & Children
Join us for an immersive global health and service experience in Uganda focused on maternal health, pediatric care, and teen pregnancy prevention. This mission brings together students, clinicians, and volunteers to serve alongside Ugandan partners through culturally grounded outreach, medical service, and community engagement. Through hands-on experiences, participants will gain clinical exposure, cultural competence, and a deeper understanding of sustainable global health initiatives impacting women, children, and adolescents.
*Licensed PAs can claim up to 40 hours of CAT 2 CME credits for this global health experience.
Trip Overview & Daily Agenda
Day 1 – Thursday, July 2
Travel Day
Depart the United States for Uganda.
Day 2 – Friday, July 3
Arrival in Kampala
Arrive in Kampala, Uganda.
Transfer to accommodations and rest after travel.
Day 3 – Saturday, July 4
Orientation & Cultural Introduction
• Money exchange and local logistics
• Watoto orientation and program overview
• Coffee downtown and group lunch
• Introduction to Uganda’s healthcare system and maternal–child health landscape
Day 4 – Sunday, July 5
Community, Worship & Family Immersion
• Attend Watoto Church in Subbi
• Traditional family-style lunch in a village home
• Visit Baby Watoto, supporting vulnerable infants and mothers
• Cultural reflection and group discussion
Days 5–7 – Monday–Wednesday, July 6–8
Medical Camps – Subbi Villages
• Participate in mobile medical camps serving rural communities
• Support care for mothers, infants, and children
• Shadow local healthcare providers and assist with triage, education, and patient flow
• Engage in maternal wellness, pediatric assessment, and health education initiatives
Days 8–10 – Thursday–Saturday, July 9–11
Teen Pregnancy Center Support
• Serve alongside local teams at a teen pregnancy support center
• Assist with mentorship, education, and wellness programming
• Participate in workshops addressing reproductive health, life skills, and empowerment
• Support holistic care efforts for pregnant teens and young mothers
Day 11 – Sunday, July 12
Departure Day
Depart Entebbe International Airport (EBB) for return travel to the United States.
Day 12 – Monday, July 13
Arrival Home
Arrive back in the United States.
