We were able to give the GIFT OF SIGHT to Hundreds of Uganda men, women and children on our most recent trip !
Join us this year as our team supports women and children in the Watoto villages of Uganda through the Gift of Sight program.
This program provides ophthalmologic evaluations and glasses for those with vision deficits.
Providing vision support can change a life trajectory for a family in Uganda. Imagine being an auto mechanic unable to fit your tools into the correct places due to low/no vision, this can lead to unemployment and homelessness for the entire family. Providing that household provider with a pair of glasses allows him to continue working and provide for his family preventing homelessness and improving the local economy.
Or imagine being a young child in school who is forced to drop out due to the inability to see the chalkboard from your desk. Because learning is now limited due to low or poor vision, you will now lose the ability to obtain an education and have a career trajectory of a street job .

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of 4000 pairs of glasses, an autorefractor for field eye exams, and international shipping costs.
