This journey not only allows them to utilize their medical skills to provide essential healthcare but also fosters deep connections through cultural immersion and community engagement. Led by a compassionate PA mom, the trip promises a nurturing environment where women can empower others while experiencing personal growth and adventure. Speaking Spanish is recommended but not required, ensuring that all participants can contribute meaningfully regardless of language proficiency.
Day 1: Travel Day
Morning: Depart to Costa Rica.
Afternoon: Arrive in Costa Rica, transfer to your accommodation.
Evening: Welcome dinner and orientation. Meet the team and discuss the mission goals.
Day 2: Cultural Immersion
Morning: Attend a local church service to experience Costa Rican culture and community.
Afternoon: Introduction to the local community and Nicaraguan immigrants. Begin preliminary health assessments.
Evening: Group reflection and planning for the week ahead.
Day 3: Medical Outreach
Morning: Set up a mobile clinic in a community center.
Afternoon: Provide medical check-ups, vaccinations, and health education to children and families.
Evening: Debrief and prepare for the next day's activities.
Day 4: Health Workshops
Morning: Conduct workshops on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care.
Afternoon: Continue medical services and follow-up on previous day's patients.
