Participate in clinical care in community clinics, urgent care, and primary care settings by working alongside local healthcare professionals

📅 Trip Itinerary
Saturday – Arrival & Welcome

Arrive in Belize City (BZE)

Transfer to lodging

Evening: Orientation, team introduction, safety briefing, and welcome dinner
Sunday – Cultural Immersion

Attend a local community church service

Jungle hike to swim in a waterfall ($10)

Dinner together at the team house
Monday & Wednesday – Clinical Care Rotations
Students rotate through hospital specialties:
-
Community Clinic: Primary care, chronic conditions, triage skills
-
Urgent Care: Acute complaints, procedures (observation), basic first-aid assistance
-
Peds and Women's Health: Maternal health support, newborn care assistance (non-clinical), patient education
Clinical responsibilities are observation- and support-based to ensure safety and align with student training levels.
Tuesday - Classroom Education

Teach local healthcare providers in two different school locations
Thursday – Rural Farming Project

Sustainable farming and rural health project
Friday – Island Adventure Day

Snorkeling excursion or ziplining excursion ($100)

Relaxation, reflection, and celebration after a week of meaningful service
Saturday – Departure
